The B-I-N-G-O column map

North American 75-ball bingo partitions 1–75 into five blocks of 15: B is 1–15, I is 16–30, N is 31–45, G is 46–60, and O is 61–75. The letter is derived from the integer; it is not a separate random choice. A fair one-ball draw gives every numbered ball probability 1/75.

Worked case: reading G52

Fifty-two belongs to the 46–60 block, so its conventional call is G52. A player checks the G column of a 5×5 card, not every square. If a caller later announces G52 again on this page, that reflects a new independent click; it does not mean the earlier call was removed or retained.

A caller needs a draw history

A live game normally takes a called ball out of the cage. This one-ball tool intentionally has no memory, so a host who needs a no-repeat session should prepare a shuffled sequence of all 75 balls or maintain a visible called list. Crossing off duplicates after the fact is less clear than agreeing on the rule before play begins.

Variants are not interchangeable

Ninety-ball bingo uses a different ticket structure and does not use the B-I-N-G-O column mapping. Pattern prizes, free-centre rules, electronic cards, and local calling conventions can also change how a game is judged. The displayed call cannot verify a winner, settle a disputed card, or enforce prize and age rules.

Make the call audible and verifiable

For a group session, announce the letter and number together and mark it on a shared board before the next call. Saying only 52 leaves players to infer a column, while an unmarked list makes disputes hard to resolve. The fixed B-I-N-G-O mapping is useful precisely because each call can be checked against a visible range.

Questions about this selection rule

Why is 31 called N31?

Thirty-one starts the N block, which runs from 31 through 45.

Can the page repeat a call?

Yes. It produces a fresh one-ball draw and does not track previous calls.

Does it run a full game?

No. A complete game needs a no-repeat sequence, cards, a pattern, and a caller's record.
